OUR IMPACT
La Cosecha Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) food share program provides healthy and locally grown produce to low-income residents at half the price of competitive markets.
We feed more than 300 families every week during the CSA season.
We optimize SNAP purchasing power and leverage the state's 'Double Up Food Bucks' so that SNAP recipients can use their benefits for buying healthy and local foods.
These efforts support the development of a just, sustainable, and regenerative food system in New Mexico by ensuring that growing and consuming local foods is a win-win endeavor for farmers, retailers, public institutions, families, and children.
“La Cosecha CSA means I can access local fresh vegetables! I have chronic illnesses that make it hard for me to get to and navigate the farmer’s markets, let alone afford the produce. At the same time, local organic veg is really vital in helping my body manage those chronic illnesses. I’m so grateful to everyone involved in La Cosecha for making such a great CSA.”
“I very much appreciate being a member of La Cosecha. My vegetable intake has increased more than 100% since being a member. I have always loved vegetables, just didn’t include enough in my daily diet. Now I eat completely differently. My diabetes is under control.”
“Thank you all for the work you do. It is inspiring to bring our people access to locally grown food”
“ I’m so happy I found out about La Cosecha and I will be participating in it every season. Thank you for everything you offer and do.”
“I really enjoy the surprise each week, feeling a connection to the local community and supporting and enjoying the fruits of local agriculture”
“Thank you so much!!! It was so convenient to pick up and order! My kiddo loved getting “cosecha vegetables”
“Thank you for your incredible work. I loved being part of La Cosecha CSA and appreciated the incredible food so much”
“The CSA helps expand our comfort zones to new [produce] varieties and foods. Helping farmers in our South Valley provides a more secure income to farmers, making small farms more economically viable, allowing better access to local produce for our whole community, improving the health of our population. To me, the impact of access to viable work and healthy food cannot be understated”
