FOOD HUB & ECO-WELLNESS CENTER
The site of a new Food Hub and Eco-Wellness Center at 1016 Isleta Blvd was recently purchased. Owning our own facility gives La Cosecha CSA, ACN, and FSNM a permanent home for expanding local food production, strengthening green workforce development, and investing in people committed to the future of the South Valley.
The Food Hub and Eco-Wellness Center will anchor several connected activities:
Food production and distribution:
Value-added production, aggregation, and distribution
Workforce development:
Training and career pathways in green jobs
Community education and engagement:
Events, workshops, cooking classes, and wellness-centered programming
Policy and advocacy:
Advocacy, policy work, and related community-building efforts.
Capital and operational funding is sought towards the Food Hub and Eco-Wellness Center.
Funding and in-kind support for development and planning will make this a reality for South Valley residents.
