Also recently purchased is a site for a future Tree and Plant Nursery and Solar Farm at 1116 Isleta Blvd. This property (currently raw land) will be developed during the course of a year into an urban forestry and arborist training center, with the goal of developing and running a NM climate-adapted tree and plant nursery solar farm.

Once developed and functioning, this site will:

• Benefit pollinator activity and greening landscapes in the South Valley
• Expand workforce training offerings and job creation
• Harvest and use renewable energy to run a climate resilient tree canopy business that complements FSNM other activities (Raices Sagradas, the Food Hub and Wellness Center) while increasing sustainability in urban forestry solutions.
