RAICES SAGRADAS FARM
A model farm:
- This in-development organic, regenerative urban demonstration farm will produce local food and model community-based responses to climate challenges affecting food production.
- Its design and management emphasize soil health, water catchment, seed preservation, local plants, pollinator-friendly habitats, the use of renewable energy, and on-the-farm training opportunities for growers and area residents.
- Once in full production, Raices Sagradas will increase its produce harvest production year-round by fully operating two green houses, integrating vertical growing and other innovative practices such as use of water-wise and solar, soil remediation, pollinator habitat, and more.
A learning space:

Raices Sagradas will also serve as a hands-on workforce training space wherein growers will engage in peer learning.

Seasoned growers will have the opportunity to inspire a new generation of farmers, pass ancestral wisdom, and support leadership and positive interactions based on the mutuality of respect.

The farm’s new nature-friendly climate-wise features will seamlessly blend with tried-and-true agricultural practices passed down from generations in our care of the natural environment.
