OUR MISSION & VALUES

Our Mission

Creating a stronger local food system to ensure that low-income families have adequate and sustainable access to healthy and affordable food. We build self-sufficiency and community among local farmers and families, improve community health by increasing access to healthy, affordable, locally-grown food, and community-based nutrition education.

Our Values

Reciprocity

We support one another, follow through on our commitments, and share responsibility for the work and its outcomes.

Collective Autonomy

We believe decisions should be made by the people most impacted.

Respect

We listen before we act.

We speak with care.

Care

We move with compassion and understanding. We reject burnout as a measure of commitment and honor the health, bodies, families, and lives of the people doing the work.

Justice

We believe justice requires repair.
Our work is about making ourselves and our communities whole again.

 Intergenerational Healing

We recognize how trauma and resilience live in our bodies and our communities. We make space for repair, growth, celebration, and the passing on of knowledge to future generations.
